14.4 Twitter: Follow Your Favorite Entrepreneur or Tycoon (Obj. 1)
Your Task. Sign up for a Twitter account if you don’t have one yet, so that you can follow businesspeople and examine the topics they like to tweet about. In the Search window on top of the page, enter the name of the businessperson whose tweets you wish to follow. Donald Trump, Jack Welch, Richard Branson, Suze Orman, and other well-known businesspeople are avid Twitter users. Over the course of a few days, read the tweets of your favorite expert. After a while, you should be able to discern certain trends and areas of interest. Note whether and how your subject responds to queries from followers. What are his or her favorite topics? Report your findings to the class, verbally with notes or using PowerPoint or Prezi. If you find particularly intriguing tweets and links, share them with the class.
